At Falcons School, our Middle School is made up of Years 3 and 4 where the children make their way over the road to Numbers 22 & 24 Woodborough Road. On this side of the school have multiple specialist spaces including: a well-equipped Science laboratory, a spacious and inspiring Art room, a creative Drama studio complete with props and staging, and a stimulating music room. We also have a large outdoor space surrounded by beautiful trees for pupils to enjoy during break times. Here the Middle School pupils play and learn with the oldest children in the school, taking on more responsibility as they leave the Lower School behind.
In Year 3, pupils continue to take on greater responsibilities, organising themselves and their belongings as they enter school, becoming more independent when moving around school and taking more responsibility for the recording and completion of their own homework. They also begin work on their verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills, getting a solid grounding in these important subjects with their secondary school entrance exams on the horizon. At the end of Year 3, pupils will attend their first school residential.
In Year 4, there is an increased focus on Maths and English as the curriculum begins to focus more problem-solving and comprehension skills, as pupils approach their secondary school entrance exams.
