We have three groups: our Mini Peris (who have just turned 2), Little Peris (2-3 year-olds) and our Big Peris (Pre-Reception, 3-4 year-olds), each group accommodated in their own classroom. Although we pride ourselves on an integrated approach and provide lots of opportunities for the Early Years pupils to interact with one another, it has been great to extend our learning environments and use the space to design classrooms which stimulate each year group in accordance to their age and stage of development.
We take immense pride in our learning environments. Our light, spacious and stimulating classrooms give the children the freedom to explore and play whilst developing independence and friendships. It also has direct access to our fantastic outdoors and the children can free flow between both – which includes our Forest School.
Our Early Years programme has been developed to offer children positive learning experiences but also to work in partnership with parents, which is of high importance to us. We aim to ensure that we involve parents in their children’s learning and nursery experiences.
Our passionate teachers develop, challenge and extend children’s learning through planning for high-quality play, focused activities and engaging in experiences with them.
We offer a broad range of specialised classes including Spanish, Ballet, Yoga, Cooking, Music and Forest Garden.
The children are provided with a hot, nutritious meal at lunch and if staying for Sundowners, supper too. The children will be provided with fresh fruit and vegetables everyday as part of their morning and afternoon snack. We involve the children in snack and meal preparation supporting them in learning about healthy choices.
