Christmas performances to end the Autumn term in style!

8th January 18

The Autumn term finished on a high note with a number of fantastic performances which at some point saw every single one of our pupils on stage. Every performance was a joyous occasion displaying the wealth of talent we have at Falcons Girls!

Bethlehem Town

Our Early Years classes kicked off the run of performances when they transformed themselves into a variety of different characters to perform ‘Born in Bethlehem’. The parents loved watching Mary and Joseph on their bumpy ride all the way to Bethlehem Town accompanied on the way by some lovely songs and narrated beautifully by girls from both the Pre-Reception and Reception classes.

Bringing Festive Cheer to London’s visitors

The  ‘Concert choir’ made up of girls from Years 2 to 6 had the opportunity to bring festive cheer to guests of the city when they sang at the Intercontinental Hotel at Hyde Park Corner. The choir entertained parents and tourists with stunning renditions of classic carols, and seasonal songs such as ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘Here comes Santa Claus’ to much applause. The girls in the choir put on an admirable performance and we were very proud of their professionalism on stage in such an unfamiliar setting.

Christingle Service

The final performance of the term was a beautiful Christingle service at St Margaret’s church in Putney. The service featured performances from the Flute Choir, Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Happy Strings a Year 1 to 3 and a Year 4 to 6 ensemble. The costumes and props were fantastic and the Christingles made with Mrs Ashworth Jones were a real hit with the girls. The service was a huge success and everyone left feeling very jolly and uplifted. We could not be prouder of the girls for their beautiful singing, acting and dancing!
