On Thursday last week, Years 1-6 were visited by local mushroom enthusiast and owner of ‘The Fungi Shed’, Myles Mackinlay. Myles gave a wonderful presentation on the process of mushroom growing and enlightened us all with information on why mushroom growth is important and how it works. Each class received their own growth kit and are excited to see what they can grow in the next couple of weeks! – Mr Green, Science Lead
Another highlight of the week was a talk from one of our girls in Year 4, who has been doing some fasting for Ramadan. During my Humanities lesson with 6D last week on Ramadan, she spoke to the girls about her experience and confidently answered their questions.— Miss Peters, Humanities Lead
