Expanding to take boys and girls aged two to four from September 2020, what can Peregrines Nursery offer your child?
1. Wraparound Care
All Peregrines children will have access to a breakfast club provision (Early Birds) from 7:30-8:30am where they can have breakfast and start their day. There will also be an after school session (Sundowners) from 3:30-6:00pm, which is play-based and includes supper.
2. Forest School
Peregrines Nursery benefits from its own onsite Forest School area, complete with a ‘Base camp’, and mud kitchen. Our Reception teacher is a qualified Forest School practitioner and the children engage in weekly sessions, allowing them to explore nature in a safe and nurturing environment. 2. Specialist Lessons
At Peregrines Nursery School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and build on this by offering Forest School, Ballet, Music, Drama, Spanish, ICT and Physical Education lessons. These are taught on a weekly basis by specialist teachers and complement many hours of fun, play-based learning!
4. Local Trips
To tie in with the curriculum, the Nursery children are taken out on trips into their local community. For example, this year, the children produced a staff pet survey as part of learning about different categories of animals. They went to the Post Office to post the survey to the school, and the next week, visited the Pet Shop to see what supplies were on offer, as well as making a furry friend.
5. Our ‘Excellent’ ISI Rating
Following a recent inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, Peregrines and Falcons were rated Excellent for both the quality of our pupils’ academic and other achievements and the quality of our pupils’ personal development. Click here to read the full 2020 ISI Report.
