Pupils across Falcons School for Girls joined thousands of children in schools around the country to put an end to bullying. The whole school took part in a variety of activities to promote kindness and respect and to remind us what to do if we are being bullied or see bullying take place. To name but a few of the activities; the Reception class made a lovely heart decorated with their hand prints to remind them to be kind with their hands, Year 6L made ‘Kindness kites’ to remind us to lift people up not put them down and Year 5 created cartoon strips in which bullying took place but the girls had to resolve the conflict by the end of the cartoon. Both Peregrines and Falcons pupils also enjoyed excellent anti-bullying assemblies from Year 3 and 4P respectively with each one giving us lots of food for thought as to how we behave towards each other online and in person. At Peregrines and Falcons, we recite our Anti-bullying oath every week at assembly as a constant reminder to us all to be kind to each other.
Anti-bullying Oath
I will not bully others
I will not stand by while others are bullied
I will report bullying whenever I see it
Because I have the Power of One.
